Winter In The Tropics: A Family Fun Fest

Join the Friends of the Domes on Dec 28, 2023, for our first Family Fun Fest!

Escape the snow and cold during this fun family-friendly program. Each registration includes one activity kit (one per child) and includes access to special activities that take place throughout the Mitchell Park Domes.

Each activity kit includes:

• Access to Education Center, including tropics-inspired activities (Ed Center is closed to the public during this program).
• A word scramble scavenger hunt for the Tropical Dome.
• An educator-guided program in the lobby (10:30AM).
• A take-home activity.
• A discount on tropical houseplants at our gift shop.
• Tropical fruit tasting: Ever wonder what a soursop tastes like? What about tamarind? Enjoy tasting fruits that can be found in our Tropical Dome.

A new program designed just for families, our Family Fun Fests take place during the breaks for Milwaukee Public Schools (winter, spring and summer). This program is perfect for ages 5-10, but is great fun for all ages.

December 28 from 9AM-Noon (arrive anytime during this window; special program takes place in the lobby at 10:30AM)

Note: Entry to the Mitchell Park Domes is NOT included. This is an additional activity that may be purchased in addition to paying the admission fee. As always, Friends of the Domes members are able to access The Domes for free!
